Phonic Approach to Reading + Ebbinghaus' Memory Cycle Theory

Program Objectives:This intensive English Program is designed to provide non-native English speaking students with the language skills necessary to become fluent and to succeed at the American college/university level and/or in and English-speaking work environment.
This ESL program offers both intensive and immersion methods so that students may learn the structure and use if the English language in th most comprehensive and intensive mannerpossible. This is a 960 clockk hour program of training.

In teaching English, GST Language Center has two special attentions for the non-English speaking students: phonic approach to reading and application of Ebbinghaus’ memory cycle theory.
Phonic Approach to Reading
An alphabetic, phonic approach to teaching reading has been used for centuries. In th 19th century, this kind of approach began to be called “phonics.” Since then it has been further developed and modified. Today a phonic approach is used in varying degreens in most reading methods.
